Women on Baords Week Wraps Up
To coincide with International Womenˇ¦s Day on 8 March 2012, Community Business and The Womenˇ¦s Foundation partnered to organise Women on Boards Week, a series of activities designed to promote understanding and discussion around the representation of women on boards.

Employee Volunteering - Give a Little, Gain a Lot
All organisations, regardless of whether they are a private company, a public sector body or a non-profit, have an impact on the community in which they operate - socially, economically as well as culturally. This is what is known as the socio-economic impact. A prosperous, healthy community benefits all who live and work in it, including the companies.

If Women are the future, where are they?
This was a recent headline in a leading daily newspaper in the UK, The Guardian. It was referring to the low number of women attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, despite a new quota system pushing for 25% participation. The result? Well there were 2,500 delegates in Davos, and just 17% were female.
