Community Business is delighted to present the
Diversity & Inclusion in Asia 2008 Conference taking place on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 November 2008 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong .

Building on the success of previous conferences in 2005 and 2007, this conference is the primary forum for discussion on diversity issues as they relate to Asia . It attracts senior business leaders and diversity professionals from across the Asia region.

The conference will focus on key workplace diversity issues including: gender, culture, generation, disability as well as sexual orientation — and will look at how these issues play out in the Asia region. Through a combination of plenary and breakout sessions, delegates will be given the opportunity to hear from thought leaders, learn from the experience of leading corporations and discuss issues pertinent to the region.

Details:

Employees are a key stakeholder group, and often times they are also a company's most important asset. If carried out strategically, Employee Volunteering (EV) is a tool that companies can use to attract, retain, and develop their staff.

The workshop is designed to help businesses to develop a well-structured and strategic EV programme that meets business priorities, reflect employees' interests and skills and addresses community needs.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Engage all levels of staff in volunteering 
  • Use EV to benefit the business and its staff 
  • Apply a simple seven-step EV framework to maximize the benefits of EV
  • Organise, manage and measure the impact of volunteer projects

Executives who are responsible for the development of their company's EV programme or for those who wish to improve an existing EV programme
