There will be a public lecture entitled "Corporate Social Responsibility: The
Starbucks' Story" delivered by Mr Howard Schultz Chairman of the Starbucks
Coffee Company

impact on all three parties has been measured.  This case study proves that if undertaken strategically, there is a strong business case for employee volunteering.

Community Business will conduct 2 identical workshops on Employee Volunteering (EV) in April 2006, helping businesses to develop an EV programme that meets business priorities, reflects employees' interests and skills, and addresses community needs.  At the workshop, participants will learn how to:

  • Engage all levels of staff in volunteering 

  • Use EV to benefit the business and its staff 

  • Apply a simple Seven-Steps EV framework to maximize the benefits of EV

  • Organise, manage and measure the impact of volunteer projects

The workshops are tailored made for executives who are responsible for the development of their company’s EV programme, or for those who wish to improve an existing EV programme.
