State of CSR Measurement Survey (2005 - 2006)

The Hong Kong CSR Charter aims to recognise the importance of going beyond
the mere signing of a piece of paper, and strongly supports the need for some
form of measurement. Although a significant act in itself, the signing of the
Charter is only the first step.  In recognition of this fact, Community Business
has committed to conduct a survey twelve months after the launch.  The survey
will be conducted in September 2006 in order to indicate changes in the state of
CSR in Hong Kong over time.

We hope that by signing the Hong Kong CSR Charter, signatories will also
acknowledge the importance of measurement.  As such, we kindly ask new
signatories to voluntarily commit to to being included in the survey.

Measurement Survey Fees:

Organisations with 100+ employees:                   HK$5,000
Organisations with fewer that 100 employees:      HK$3,000

When:

  • The survey will be conducted in September 2006, 12 months post official
    launch in September of 2005

Why:

  • We recognise the importance of measurement and its vital contribution to
the credibility of CSR initiatives in Hong Kong

Benefits:

  • Acknowledgment: Your organisation will be acknowledged in the State
of CSR in Hong Kong Survey as a signatory to the Charter and as a
    participant in the survey.

  • Public Results: Your organisation will be listed as a participant of the
survey in the public sharing of results.  This will add to the public credibility
of your efforts in promoting CSR in Hong Kong.

  • Complimentary Results: Your organisation will receive 5 complimentary
copies of the public survey results.

  • Individual Organisation Assessment: Your organisation will receive a
one page summary of its results, including its position relative to other
participating organisations.  This will provide an excellent opportunity for
management to assess the progress of internal CSR initiatives and help to
    prioritise areas going forward.

(Please note: Individual organisation names other than your own will remain
anonymous)
